Onward to the Goal for Christ

18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

G–Go

O–Out

A–And

L–Love

The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. (I Timothy 1:5)

Love was made known to us through Christ when He gave His life for us while we were sinners, knowing we would sin yet and continually need His saving love.

THE GOAL

— Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. (Hebrews 13:1-2)

–Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed. (Proverbs 19:17)

–Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. (James 1:27)

–Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. (Ephesians 4:25)

–Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. (Ephesians 4:29)

–“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me.’ (Matthew 25:40)

–Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” (Philippians 4:8)

PERSEVERANCE

–But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.      (II Chronicles 15:7)

–So now finish doing it as well, so that your readiness in desiring it may be matched by your completing it out of what you have. For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have. (II Corinthians 8:11-12)

–Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)

THE WAY

–I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)

–But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26)

WHEREVER WE GO, WE WILL FIND THOSE WHO ARE IN NEED OF WHAT WE CAN GIVE THROUGH LOVE IN CHRIST. DO WE HAVE THE GOAL? THE PERSEVERANCE?

THE WAY IS THERE FOR US.
